Venture capital firm aims to tap into local entrepreneurial community

Savannah Morning News

By Adam Van Brimmer

(Summary) Savannah entrepreneurs have a new ally in their court. SLAAM Ventures is a new VC firm in the city founded by John Morisano and Amy Factor. The firm will focus on startups with investments between $10,000-$100,000 and equity participation ranges from five to 25-percent. The entrepreneurial community turned out in force at an event hosted by Morisano and Factor recently–proving to them what they suspected: “the city is swarming with innovative entrepreneurs with little access to seed capital.”
